FALL WINTER 2019: Alexander McQueen
Sarah Burton keeps the Alexander McQueen aesthetic and adds her own vision for the brand. Her Fall Winter 2019 collection is full of dark romance, with the use of draped lines, punk influences, fetish inspiration, and structural ruffles. This isn't for the dainty and sweet, much like Alexander McQueen's designs weren't. The mix of menswear and femininity is always a strong combination in the hands of Sarah Burton, letting androgyny seep into some looks. If I want to see new takes on fashion without losing wearablity, I look to Alexander McQueen. I'll admit that I always love a disco ball fringe dress that screams party. It makes the club kid in me smile as much as the leather dresses. Here are my favorite looks. You can see the full collection over on Vogue.
