HOME DECOR DIY | Rustic Pallet Wood and Denim Lap Desk

In our family, we use lap desks or lap boards regularly. I made a new long one using denim, cotton fabric, a rustic wood palette, Fairfield World bean bag filler, Dritz staple gun and staples. You can see the written tutorial over on Fairfield World. I made a video tutorial to better show how to make this project. As with many of my projects, this can be customized to fit any decor or personal style. We've been playing with industrial decor in my den remodel, so I know this will work well downstairs.

This project and tutorial were sponsored by Fairfield World and Dritz. Fairfield World paid me to create this project.

If you like my video tutorial, please like them, so I know if I should continue making them, or just stick with written photo tutorials. I'll likely start making some Facebook videos. We're doing a lot of home remodeling (mostly painting), which I share on Instagram. I'll likely make blog posts about it when I feel satisfied with how everything looks. I'm almost done with sorting through the random stuff in my studio...should finish up today. I'll share that progress when I in the mood to take lots of photos. The den and studio are a long project, because there are so many elements including reorganizing, reupholstering, extensive painting, bulkier mantle, and a flooring change. For now, you'll still see my little home decor photos...and yes, I should post the winter village this month, because it's still winter. Whatever you're making, have fun with it. Happy Makery!
