SEWING DIY: Abstract Applique with Stick Fusible Interfacing

This Abstract Applique with Stick Fusible Interfacing video tutorial shows the basics of fusible applique to make two skirt panels. There will be a separate video for making the gathered skirt, so watch for that next month. I used Fairfield World Stick Double Sided Fusible Interfacing to create this applique design. You can use this fusible applique technique for any shape. I picked an abstract paint splotch splattered motif. My clothing goals are to be an art teacher version of Miss Frizzle of "The Magic School Bus", similar to Cassie Stephens wardrobe. I'm making a skirt, but this applique could be used on a pillow, a quilt, a jacket...whatever fabric object you can sew.
