SPRING 2016 COUTURE: Jean Paul Gaultier

I've been thinking about how to change up how I covered fashion weeks. Doing a full review with collection collages is tedious and often not as fun as it once was. To switch things up a bit, I'm going to make sets on Polyvore of outfits inspired by designer collections, and post them in one post, per designer's collection. This will work for most collections, and I'll reserve the review and collage posts for the far out artsy collections, which are rare to see. I can't afford couture, so these are looks you could probably put together with your own wardrobe. Ignore the price tags, as a lot of this can be found at thrift stores and cheap trendy shops. Splurge on items you will get decades of use from...5-10 years minimum, and must be used many times. With this in mind, here are three outfits inspired by looks from Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring 2016 Couture collection. The collection is lingerie and menswear inspired, with a definite 80s-90s androgynous rocker vibe. The show closes with an on stage party, which you want to attend. Watch the full runway show here.
