HOME DECOR DIY: Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull Treat Box for Walnut Hollow

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is coming up on November 1st & 2nd. I've been in a celebratory mood, making many sugar skull crafts. Over on Walnut Hollow, I show you how to make a Sugar Skull Treat Box. The darker counterpart, Halloween, is filled with spooky things. The Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead, is a loving celebration, honoring the lives of deceased relatives. I'm not of Mexican heritage, but I heavily relate to the holiday. This box is meant to hold delicious treats for the living, but it can also be used to hold offerenda on altars. Head over to Walnut Hollow to make your own version!

I am a blogger for Walnut Hollow. They supplied me with the box and woodburning tool for this project. They paid me to create the tutorial. The concept and design are of my own creation.
