TECH FASHION: Anouk Wipprecht's Bubblegum Dress

I found Dutch fashiontech designer, Anouk Wipprecht's work several years ago, in an article about tech fashion. I think it was her Intimacy 2.0 dress that 1st caught my attention. We've been Facebook friends for a few years. I've enjoyed watching her work progression. A recent completed design is her popular Spider Dress that defends the wearer's personal space. This is a combination of 3D printing and computer technology with Intel Edison chips.

She's currently working on a Bubblegum Dress for Cirque du Soleil's HEART Ibiza, a food/art/tech themed show. The dress uses leather for the body, 3D printing for the shoulder piece, and limited edition Pink Tinsy 3.1 boards. The final dress will be included in the show opening June 6th. If she has shares photos of the final dress, I'll make an updated post.

At Maker Faire Bay Area, she worked on the Bubblegum dress prototype. You can see her work in this interview by Make.
