NYC FASHION WEEK F/W 2015: Lisa Perry

Lisa Perry's Fall Winter 2015 collection uses trendy contrasts of black, white, gold, green, and orange with her 60s mod shapes and geometric graphics. It's interesting to see Lisa reinterpret her style season after season, incorporating on trend items, which can be seen in a few other collections. The great thing about her style is the clothing can be worn for many seasons. The cuts are classic, first appearing in the 1960s with mini skirts and roomy shift dresses. The gold adds a 70s flair, but translates into both current fashion and craft trends. I normally prefer silver, but the abundance of well used gold in graphic designs, is really making me want to incorporate gold into more creations. The use of circles reminds me of Paco Rabanne and similar designers of that mod era. They are creatives that I look up to, always using shapes, colors, and construction in thought provoking ways. Lisa is one of my favorite designers, so I always look forward to seeing her collections.
