RESORT 2015: Mary Katrantzou
Mary Katrantzou's Resort 2015 collection was inspired by typography. If you aren't familiar with that word, it describes the art of text. From numbers, to letters, to symbols. Each character is a piece of art. From practical to whimsical, and those aspects are shown in the other design choices of the collection. There was a strong appearance of tailored high legged shorts. Much classier than the denim version. I'm fond of the mini dresses and skirt. That white fabric is a typography brocade. Something to surely appreciate more in person. Mary is known for her graphic prints and over the past few collections has been branching out in theme. This collection, while themed is very wearable.
