DESIGNER INSPIRED: Saint Laurent F/W 2014 - Look #46

This outfit is inspired by look #46 in Saint Laurent's Fall Winter 2014 collection. It shows a great way of dressing down a sparkly dress for casual wear. If sparkles aren't your thing, you can use the same elements with a printed or plain mini dress. Mini dresses are things often worn in warmer weather, but pairing it with a long cardigan, boots, and tights, it's able to easily transition into cold weather. This collection was inspired by 1960's Mod, which included a bold cat eye and thick lashes. Though the boots in the designer look are glittery, I switched them to a more wearable cream boot. This outfit mixes neutrals, which was common in most of the collection. You could do a similar look with colored clothing too. You just need to balance the light and dark clothing, to keep it from looking too crazy.
