NYC FASHION WEEK F/W 2014: Nicole Miller

These are my favorite looks from Nicole Miller's Fall Winter 2014 collection. I'm really enjoying the last few Nicole Miller collections. This one is on trend with geometric, abstract, plaid, and textured fabrics. The mix of prints is perfect, because they share the same color palette and have a similar abstract look. It's nice to see prints that aren't so literal, and have a loose painted style. To balance out that business are some great black pieces. Those are a mix between basics and more complicated pieces that play with different black fabrics to create a contrast...sheer, fur, feathers, shiny, matte, textured...etc. This collection makes me rethink how to play with the prints and black pieces in my own wardrobe.
