DIA DE LOS MUERTOS: El Catrinero by Helena Nares

It's October, and time for some festive posts. Instead of a Halloween and Dia de los Muertos themed month, I'm doing only Dia de los Muertos until November 2nd. To start with, I'm featuring some great artwork. These Catrina sculptures are created by Mexican artist Helana Nares. She calls her sculptures El Catinero. I love the bright colors, skeletons, and high detail of these ladies. Helana also sculpts Catrine (men) which I will feature in a different post. You can see more of her amazing work on Flickr.
