DESIGNER INSPIRED - Kate Spade NY S/S 2014 - Look #7

This Kate Spade New York outfit has a very classic and 60s vibe. The clothing is perfect for the office, a date night, or when you feel like dressing up a bit. The veil with the bow headscarf might be a bit too much for every day, but does add drama. The book she's holding might actually be a bag, so I included a bag made out of a book. This is a great craft opportunity, as there are many tutorials out there for transforming a book into a bag. Stripes are a classic pattern, but currently are very trendy. I'm a fan of stripes any day, but love seeing it get a revival. The pencil skirt and wedge heels are something most women should have in their wardrobe. If you can't or don't like wearing heels, consider a black flats. The accessories are minimal...a cocktail ring, skinny belt, layered hair accessories, and a book purse. If you want more warmth (perhaps for this Fall & Winter) or to dress this up a bit more, put on a black cardigan or blazer, and some black stockings or tights. Kate Spade's clothing is normally very wearable. It's great when her outfits are easily recreated, for the gal on a lower budget.
