NYC FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: Z Spoke by Zac Posen

The Spring Summer 2013 collection, Z Spoke by Zac Posen is lovely and feminine. However, the model's odd posing and facial expressions take away from some of the looks. I love the flirty ruffles, sharp floral, and swingy dresses. The more structured pieces have a 50s or 70s vibe. My favorite two looks are the first look with the fitted mid-calf pencil skirt, and the layered ruffle blouse. This is a polished look that could work great at work, or after work. Since I have an unconventional job, I'd probably wear it for occasional meetings with new contacts, out on a nice day with my family, or on a date with my husband. My second favorite look is the thirteenth look, the suit with shorts and matching jacket. Since the choice of bottom is shorts, this geometric print isn't overwhelming with paired with the matching jacket. I love green and cream, so this is a nice muted combination. I could see the olive green ruffle top worn the suit in the second look, or perhaps even that same favorite floral skirt in the first look.
