NYC FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: Tanya Taylor

The Spring Summer 2013 collection from Tanya Taylor is full of neutrals with beautiful orange pieces and prints. The mix of crop tops and cut outs with florals is right on trend. I'm usually not a fan of orange, but the melon, bright orange, and yellow-oranges are used beautifully, and are very flattering shades. Of all these fantastic pieces, my three favorites are the 1st look with the melon and black skirt, and the white and black crop top. The skirt starts at the natural waistline, and the crop top stops shortly after the bust, accenting the smallest section section of the body. This is a body conscious design, but remember confidence is the most attractive feature. Another favorite is the fourth look, the dress with a black bottom and floral print top. The cut outs accent that same small section of the body, which is very flattering. My last favorite is the seventh look with the floral wide cut slightly cropped top over the wonderfully tailored white wide leg pants. I would love to see this in a black version, with the black floral for the top. That would fit in better with my wardrobe.
