NYC FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: Mara Hoffman

Mara Hoffman's Spring Summer 2013 collection is inspired by Hawaii. The bright colors, tropical tribal prints, and palm frond hair accessories make me yearn for a warm vacation, as the cold rolls in now. The flowy fabrics would move great in a warm wind, while sipping frozen pineapple drinks on a sandy shore. I love how there is a mix of looks that work for lounging on the beach, swimming in the surf, or heading to a luau for dinner. Of all the great pieces (now I want that frozen drink), my favorites are the printed maxi dresses. I love wearing maxi dresses, and maxi skirt through out the warm weather, because some places have very cold A/C, and my legs get too chilly. The bathing suits are also wonderful. I rarely find a printed suit that I like. These all provide great coverage while staying fun with the colorful prints. Overall this is a great collection. I want to throw it all in a large bag, with my sandals and lingerie, and get on a plane to Hawaii!
