NYC FASHION WEEK S/S 2013: Cushnie Et Ochs

Cushnie Et Ochs' Spring Summer 2013 collection had an odd mix of cuts, and some unfortunate blue satin dresses (but, I detest light weight satin clothing as a whole). My favorite are the one with cut outs and interesting shoulders. I love a well placed cut out. These are all nicely done. A bit risque without being trashy. To me, there is always something futuristic with cut outs. It's not something that you see in the average dress. Of all these pieces I choose to share, my favorites are the second dress and the eleventh look. The dress has great pointed shoulders and long sleeves, that would be very flattering with my wide shoulders. The length of the sleeves and hem make this dress best for early Spring when there is still a chill in the air. Personally, I would prefer this in black, so I would get more wear out of it. White can be a hard neutral to wear. The eleventh look appears to be a crop top and high waisted skirt. I love a good crop top, and this one is even sexier with it's additional slit of skin created by the underbust cut out. I love the shine on the high waisted skirt. To me, high waisted skirts, always make the butt look larger. For me, I like this. If you don't, I wouldn't suggest you wear them. Being this is shiny, that fabric choice would bring more attention to that area. I'm hoping this is fitted in the back, since that is the most flattering cut of a high waisted skirt, as it adds more definition to my favorite body part.
