RECIPES: National Cheese Fondue Day
Today is National Cheese Fondue Day! To celebrate, we are heading to The Melting Pot for some delicious cheese and chocolate fondue. If you don't have a fondue restaurant near by, but you do have a fondue pot or a crock pot at home, here are some great recipes to help you celebrate by treating yourself to some delicious cheese fondue!
As always, lets start with something basic. Here is a classic beer and cheese fondue recipe. It's a duplicate of the Melting Pot Cheddar Cheese Fondue by CopyKat Recipes.
Want to up the cheese amount? Try this Four Cheese Fondue by The Curvy Carrot. It has Fontina cheese, Butterkase cheese, mild cheddar cheese, and blue cheese crumbles. Feel free to change up the cheese types, if you prefer something different.
So now we have some basic recipes down, time to start adding some other things into the fondue mixture.
This is a simple way to ease into a non-basic recipe with a Garlicky Cheese Fondue by Emeril Lagasse on FoodNework.com.
This Italian Cheese Fondue by Giada De Laurentiis on FoodNetwork.com has pancetta and chives mixed into the Fontina and Gruyere cheese fondue.
A favorite fondue of mine is spinach and artichoke. This Spinach Artichoke Fondue by Erica on Favorite Family Recipes is a great one for this delicious combination.

Of course I can't leave the vegans out of the fondue celebration. This Vegan Pimento Cheese Fondue by Healthy Slow Cooking uses white beans and vegan cheddar cheese as a substitute for non-vegan cheese.
