FASHION: Betsey Johnson Fall/Winter 2012

My favorite fashion designer, Betsey Johnson, recently had her Fall/Winter 2012 Runway Show. Here are some of my favorite looks from the show.

Bright florals are one of her most common prints she uses. The printed fabrics are normally made into vintage style dresses, like this one.

This is a more muted floral, but the bright pink tights help add more color and bring out the subtle pinks of the floral print. Wearing tights is a great way make a summery dress warmer for Fall.

This has a very 70s look to it. The pants are a great classic staple, that are spruced with with the brighter colors. Using brighter colors during Fall is a great way to stand out in a sea of muted tones.

I love a good lace, and this one is a bit different. Very 60s with the amoeba shaped cut outs and paired with silver retro boots.

This is another great 60s style dress with a print that looks like distorted butterfly wings.

I've been wearing a lot of long dresses lately. I find them to be a good way to stay warm when the weather outside or the A/C is cold inside. Fitted to flared styles like this add class and sexiness to the look. The print makes it more casual, but definitely still appropriate for an evening party.

This beaded frock has a subtle anatomical skeleton design. I love how Betsey fits in a macabre element to an overall cheery show.

If skeletons aren't your thing, then there is this other beaded damask design mini dress. Still keeping with the prevalent retro vibe by making the dress short and pairing it with silver boots.

If you are familiar with Ms. Johnson, you know she always does a cartwheel after each show. Considered how long she's been a fashion designer, this will always be an impressive part of who she is.
