HOLIDAY FASHION: Winter Warmth
This is a warm, relaxed and stylish look for a casual holiday get together or daily things through the Winter. I pulled the look together from the Fair Isle sweater. This is a good way to transition a black maxi tank dress into Winter. The sweater, cable tights, slouchy hat, gloves, and scarf add warmth. When in odd weather that's still transitioning into cold Winter, it's important to have layers that can be easily removed. I live in a climate that though it's December, it's rare for us to have freezing weather yet. Boots are a Fall and Winter staple in my closest. Lately, I've been obsessed with this style of bootie. These featured ones are by Jeffrey Campbell. His Lita boots are made of leather and suede. If you want a vegan friendly or cheaper version, I suggest looking on Ebay for some designer inspired ones. Maxi dresses are well maxi/very long, by their name. On me, who is 5'6", most of them puddle a bit at the ground when I wear them. This means I can't wear flats with them. I'm ok with that, as I have many wedges, heels, and boots that work fine with these dresses. For taller girls, you probably will be fine wearing flats as alternative shoes.
